Be sure to get references from people who know about your career development and progress. It’s important for them to be able to give complimentary and persuasive remarks about the skills the recruiter might ask about.

These days, the importance of thank-you notes has been greatly watered down. It is, however, still a very worthy tool in the recruitment playbook.
A simple thank-you note sent to the interviewer within 24 hours, thanking them for the opportunity can influence their final decisions.
It could also boost the chances of the recruiter contacting you for a future role if you don’t get the role you applied for.
